Formed into its crouched herding position with a piercing gaze, this willow Collie sculpture has been expertly handcrafted by talented artist Emma Stothard.
Emma was able to start up her business with a loan from The Prince’s Trust and was invited by His Majesty The King to exhibit her willow sculptures on the Orchard Lawns at Highgrove.
Sculpted from British willow, interwoven with wire and bronze wire and shaped around a steel armature, the contrasting willow colours in this roebuck deer create form and definition. Each sculpture is finished with a coating of linseed oil and turpentine solution to preserve and protect it.
Complete the look with the “come-bye” sheep scene.
