Moongazing Hare Willow Sculpture

This “captivated by the moon” hare will stand tall and proud in your garden.

Synonymous with the countryside, this moongazing hare is hand-crafted by talented artist Emma Stothard, who was able to start up her business with a loan from The Prince’s Trust. She was invited by His Majesty The King to exhibit her willow sculptures, including the moongazing hare, on the Orchard Lawns at Highgrove.

Sculpted from British willow, interwoven with wire and bronze wire and shaped around a steel armature, the contrasting willow colours in this moongazing hare create form and definition. Each sculpture is finished with a coating of linseed oil and turpentine solution to preserve and protect it.
